The only Armour All products I use are their glass cleaner (sometimes) & their Detailers Advantage tire foam. I don't like the shiny wet look on tires, just a black, semi gloss look. Their foam gives me the exact look I want. But for the most part, they're entry-level. Same with Turtle Wax.
Autogeek has plenty of better stuff, & competitive prices.

I bought my Michelins for the Escape at Costco, and witnessed them deny a warranty claim to a guy who had been using ArmorAll tire shine, which caused the sidewall to crack over time. The Service Manager showed the guy, it's right there in the manufacturer's contract, that use of petroleum based tire dressings will cause the sidewall to crack and will void your tires' warranties. I'm not one to ever use a tire's warranty, since I typically use them hard, but I was pretty surprised to see that.

wow, that's crazy. I don't use their tire products either. I will recommend to you guys that the new TW Jet Black tire kit works very well. What are you guys using to dress the tire itself?

I've used that spray too. Smells good. I usually spray it on, then use a terry cloth to wipe off the excess.

I use Pinnacle wheel cleaner and Blackfire Crystal Seal to protect my wheels. Works great! I have used the amour all stuff in the past but this combo works much better and last longer.

My favorite tire dressing is Optimum Tire Shine: http://www.detailedimage.com/Optimum...P282/17-oz-S1/

Water based that gives a silky black look that I think is perfect. If you like matte, then you can cut it with a little water. If you like more shiny, go back and do another coat.

As for the Armor All wheel protectant, I would have never wasted my money on it. My buddy and I were in an auto parts store and the guy working recognized us from our detailing work online. He gave us a few cans and told us it's awesome. "Awesome? Armor All?" I thought. Sure enough, works just as well as Optimum Opti-Seal that we were using before at a fraction the price and easier to use. I use it on my own wheels all the time now.

Yeah, I'm stuck on using McGuire's tire shine products. I just love them. Me personally, I love my tires having that wet, greasy, slick look. Its sex on wheels. Lmao! Not a fan of the Armor All tire shine, yet I love its wheel protector spray and interior wipes.

Although McGuire's makes a nice ultra shine interior wipe for plastics and vinyl as well.

Eagle 1 used to make something like this as well. Mine lasted 4 months before I had to reapply it.

I really like Meguiars products. They are great car care products for what I consider reasonable cost.

So, does any of this tire shine stuff ruin the finish on your wheels even if you take a wet rag and wipe the rims off after you spray? I hate that it gets some on your wheels. Worried it can ruin the finish.

I personally never had an issue with the wheels finish being ruin. I've been using tire shine for 3 plus years.

I think you should be fine as long as you wipe a majority of it off. If anything, it'll just haze your wheels temporarily, that would wipe off too.
