After twenty or twenty five years, a well maintained car will often have as much interest than most new models...sometimes more when parked side by side.
Longtime and (older Mustang) owners that don't feel the need to be the fastest, or have the latest new tech options, not only understand this, but are proud to be in this posistion. The lack of common courtesy or recognition from those on the other end of the spectrum doesn't usually surprise us, nor annoy us. We usually consider the source, and figure you have lots of years to go before you can fully enjoy and be in our posistion. It's akin to retirement...you can't appreciate it 'till you get there.

As a owner of 3 1993 coupes, 96 cobra, 2000GT and 2004 GT i have found that when riding in any of these models someone you come across another Mustang or whatever are going to have "Lets race attitude" which could be mistaken from being a-holes. Lets face it at one time or another when you are driving any car thoughts of "I have a faster car then you" crosses our minds. I love all cars being jealous of an 05 is like when I am driving my 2004 GT I wish i was in my 1993 coupe and when I am in my 1993 coupe I wish i was in my 04 when its raining

i honk and wave at stangs that pass...some acknowledge. like today i saw a red 05 v6 and waved....he didnt look at me. i saw a white 05 in someones driveway and i yelled nice car as i stopped hes like HEY U TOO!! some guy rolled his window down and starts screaming NICE RIDE OMG NICE RIDE!! then im sitting talkin to my friends and theres a g35 parked next to me and he revvs soo i revved and everyone was like OOHHHHHH MAN....hes like wanna race?? i said hey its not worth it cuz u got an auto and ive already beat a stick g35 (2005 coupe, sweet race) and hes like yea but u donno how to drive. im like OK HOWS THIS THING MOVING HAHA?? hes like how much torque u got?? i said alot more than u and layed tracks on my way out

There truly are not too many Yellas around..Four besides mine in the whole Bham area-two are Gts including one vert.
Mosty reds and silvers and blacks and WB around here.

I`ve gotten nothing but positive feedback from other Mustang owners. I actually got a from someone driving a 70 Shelby. Of course if you are driving that, you have nothing to be bitter about I suppose

Stop knocking the Jeep Liberty. I had a 2003 Jeep Liberty Renegade, and yes, I traded it in on the stang. The gas mileage stinked but other than that it was a really good vehicle.
Edit: Mind you, I lifted it 3" but bigger tires on it and modded the daylights out if it like I do all of my vehicles.

I usually get good reactions when people see my car. I tried to wave to a Gt owner but he blew me off. I get more good reaction from non Mustang owners actually.
I love this attitude like " you got a V6? couldn't afford a GT huh?" No actually I wanted the V6. A gt would just be more horse to kill myself with, pay insurance on, and have to fill up more often!
I would have to say that GT owners are the snobs here. Like someone said, wait till the first Shebly's hit the road. Gt owners are going to be V6 owners best friends after that!
I think we all just need to appreciate a great car and our mutal love for it, no matter what package is on it.

Well, I'm not bitter or hate the '05 owners. I drive an '82 5.0 right now and I will be getting a 5spd '97-'98 GT within the next month. Honesty, I wish I could have an '05 but since I'm graduating high school next week and will be going off to college in a few months it's just not an option for me right now. I appreciate any year and style mustang (including the II's.) I haven't waved at many people in 05's honestly but that because I'm just a shy guy.
