Yea v6 to 5.0 is gonna take alot of work. The main thing i would say is drop a v8 under the hood. If you cant do that id recommend full and i mean FULL bolt ons and a tune or ECU reflash. That would still require plenty of work and time but still may be cheaper than a new motor and supporting mods.

what's so funny? An old (stock) 5.0 really isn't that fast, we had one. A hell of a lot of bark, with only half the bite. She sure sounded mean though...

Your question is too vague to be answered well. And why just kill a Fox 5.0? Beyond that, you'll spend FAR less money buying a Fox 5.0.

My advice is to buy a 5.0 that needs an engine, and install a 331 or 347 (crate motor?). At least at that point, you can get away with retaining the rest of the power train until you can afford to replace them with stronger parts.

In all actuality, I'd put in a 351w because you get more power without working too hard, and the block is a better starting point.

That is what I was laughing at. Did you read or skip over it?

You are correct, they're not that fast, but are great cars. (I'd love a fox body.) Still faster than a 04 V6 though, right? Like I said,...thousands to make it faster. Good luck.

There's an old saying "Speed costs money-how fast do you want to go?" Honestly with all the modifications that you would need to spend to make a V-6 do what you want it to do, you could buy a 5.0. But auto parts stores will more than happy to relieve you of the money that it would take.
