I had a British ragtop for 15 years and I just used a convertible top conditioner. Don't remember what brand. Kept it supple, black, never leaked.

Yeah, I'm really not sure if "waterproofing" is really required (or even beneficial) at all. I'm just doing as I'm told right now.

I'm thinking some 303 cleaner and fabric guard will be plenty. Not exactly waterproofing, but should keep it from fading due to UV light and should help keep it cleaner longer.

I use 303 Aerospace Conditioner on mine to protect it.

RAGGTOPP on all my 'verts from German brands to my current two domestic 'verts. Outstanding product. Not cheap ($20+ at JC Whitney) but extremely effective. The protectant, not the cleaner, unless she needs that too.

just paid $1200 for 2003 with new window and pad, plus one hydraulic cylinder in Myrtle Beach SC. This was cheapest estimate out of 4 shops. Hope this helps.

It should be good for many years to come. I use to use a soft scrub brush and car wash soap on our to keep it clean. It always looked good without using anything else on it.
Autogeek has a section about tops and tabs toward the bottom on how to care for them
