My sync 3 is stuck on prompt volume. Whenever I plug in my phone for Apple car play the volume stays at a set volume and when I try to adjust it it will just say prompt volume and not adjust at all. It just started doing this randomly. Does anyone know a fix for this?

 

I am guessing since you have Apple Car Play that you may have a car that is still under warranty? I won't be much help, but I would take it in to the dealer if so. Maybe they are better at updating those cars unlike the Sync 2 cars...
