WIll a 95 GT transmission fit in a 88 GT? If it does fit will it fit without modifications? If not what will I need to make it fit? ...... ANY comments will help... thanks alot

I dont know about bellhousings, but I think it will. Dont they both use the same T5 setup. The only issue I can see is driveshaft length, but I am not 100% on that. You may want to check on some of the more technical forums regarding this.

Input shaft on the 94 95 t5s is a little bit longer than the earlier t5s.
Im actually looking for a 94 95 t5 because this setup will work well in my II. With earlier t5s i would have to use a pilot bushing adapter to make up the difference in the length.

Im sorry i didnt state this before i posted the chat but my car is an automatic... does that make a difference and if I would still need a pilot bushing adapter, where would I find one at?

Im not 100% sure on the autos but logic dictates that if the input shaft is longer on the t5 it will be on the auto as well. I would definitely check this before you do the swap. The problem for you will be the shaft is to long so a bushing adapter wont help you. I guess you could always swap out the input shaft for the shorter version. Maybe someone else here can chime in on this particular swap. I know little of automatics.
