Tips on drag racing
So i have im pretty new to driving manual. Ive been driving manual for 2 weeks and ive tried to race but i seem to always have a wheel spin even when i shift to 2nd gear. Or does that happend with the pirelli tires that the 2011 mustangs come with?

Better tires for even slicks will help if you're racing it. Feather the throttle a bit, and try launching from different rpm's. You don't want excessive spin, but you don't want the engine to bog down either. You could also work on the suspension, if you're getting wheel hop. There's nothing quite like a driver mod though. Just practice...

I found that I baby the car all through first gear on a street tire, get into second and "roll" into the throttle till 3500ish and go full on, not just "pedal to the metal" from the start. I find my street tires DEAD hook at 45. Its more of a seat time thing to get a idea, be safe if you have never done anything like this. Its alot of car and can get away from you fast, get some seat time, learn the car before you try and show people what it can do.

Avoid the water box with street tires. Spin the tires a little to clean them off. A 2 step is useless without the proper tire and suspension set up.
If your serious about drag racing then get some skinny tires and rims for the front and slicks and rims for the rear, Lower and upper adjustable rear control arms, relocation brackets, weight reduction and a dyno tune.
