Maybe dumb question, but ...

Are teams like SVO, SHO, SVT part of Ford Motor Company, or are they something like Saleen, Roush ... ?

I don't think SHO is a "team" though. If I recall correctly, SHO stands for "Super High Output." I could be wrong, as it's been a while since I've seen it, but I'm pretty sure it's just the engine designation.

SVO: Special Vehicle Operations
SVT: Special Vehicle Team
SVE: Special Vehicle Engineering

I don't think SVE was ever used as a 'badge' on a vehicle.

Sorry, I should've clarified.

SVE never was used as a badge, but it is a team within Ford. I've read various references to it, and they even had a car at the 40th Anniversary show in the burnout contest (which unfortunately, caught fire a bit...).

Don't flame me for this, cuz I think there might be a 50/50 chance I might be right, but wasn't SVE responsible for brining us the Super Stallion? I know SVT made the modern Boss with an injected 429 shoehorned into the engne bay of an sn-95, but I'm not sure if they did Super Stallion too. Could someone clarify this?

BTW..."SHO" was an engine designation used on Taurus' and T-birds.

Also, "SVO" (Special Vehicle Operations) was a team within Ford during the '80s and are responsible for creating the turbcharged 2.3L SVO Mustangs. They have since been replaced in the early '90s by SVT.

I do believe you are correct. I knew they did something else pretty significant, but I just couldn't remember.
