I have a 2000 mustang Gt, when I purchased the car it came with two 12s and a 1200 watt amp. The power cable is hooked directly to my battery. Would this cause my battery to die randomly?

If your amp is constanly on then yes it will cause it to drain your battery. If it shuts off then I dont think that it would.
