Does anyone know what would cause my seat belt light to stay on even when I'm buckled up?

 

Not getting the signal somehow, maybe a bad ground not completing the circuit?

 

My 2010 started doing that before i traded it in was annoying kept having to latch it and then re latch it till it finally decided i did have my seatbelt on... never found out the source of the problem though so sorry i dont have a solution but i feel your pain
