Now this is where things might get a bit sticky. Its obvious that some believe its NOT appropriate for the owner of a V-6 Mustang to put GT emblems on their car. Its also obvious that some believe its not appropriate to place Cobra emblems on their non-Cobra mustang.

Wouldn't it then also be not appropriate (using the exact same logic) for the owner of a GT to remove their GT emblems and replace them with V-6 emblems or Cobra's? Just curious...
Ford's been known for putting Ponies on V-8's before, so not a huge leap.

Here's what I agree with:

1. Don't turn your V6 into a faux V8 (yellows cars excluded for the purpose of this conversation). Why add GT logos when the Ponies look better, anyway?

2. If you do add them, I really don't care. Just don't put a Type R badge on it and a huge wing.

3. Putting the Ponies on a GT isn't the same thing. Fords done it before, will do it again, and its truly giving the car a better look, not posing.

But, to answer the first question, I don't hate it, it's just ...

I love my V6 and don't think I will ever change my Pony emblems for GT ones. IMO the pony looks better anyway. But it's amazing how many people think I have a GT just because I have the pony package.
I had that very thing happen to me a guy at the auto glass place I went to seen the car and I was just talking to him about it then he said "why don't you put new dual exaust on, it will sound better" and I replied "it's not a GT thats why" he responded with "then how did you get those bad hiney mini fogs on the grill?" Ahh the bliss of the pony package.

Heck, I'd still put duals on it. Regardless of sounding better, you'll be freeing the exhaust up to flow better.

Hey- Eleanor is 52 weeks younger than your car! Her Birthday was Monday.
I only wish I had a manual. My second WILL be a manual.
Bigger engine=More gas. AND I drive mine like I stole it to the tune of 2 tanks of gas a week.

But in the broad range of things- eh do what you like. I have ponies on my windows too- what does that make mine besides a big ole mongreloid?

The nice thing about V-6's is that they don't need dual exhaust. I good single exhaust will provide the performance they need and the difference in sound is equally awesome! The only real benefit to duals is aesthetics.

Personally I can think of 100 things that I'd rather spend my money on rather than duals...

Would it be ok to put this on a mustang?

This topic has been beaten to death. Last time I checked this was the land of the Free. Do what you want as long as it's not against the law and doesn't harm others.

I'm proud that I have V6 Mustang, why would anyone cover V6 emblems so that somebody else think he/she have V8?

lol why not, im bored :P

meh, i dont so much mind the emblems that much. only thing i hate is when ppl put the emblems on AND try and advertise the car as something its not. thats the only thing that pisses me off. go ahead and stick all the cobra/gt/pony logos on that you want, just dont tell people that its something that its not
