I hate it when people get like a v6 and make it a GT emblems so they fool people that they have GT. Accept what you got and don't confuse people. I mean the if you want the GT look go for it but make sure you don't change v6 emblems to GT.
V6 has potential. Not it's not the Famous V8 but poeple would take a v6 if they could..

I understand what you mean. Especially coming from someone who has a V6.

You hear that folks...no GT badges on V6's.

I love my V6 and don't think I will ever change my Pony emblems for GT ones. IMO the pony looks better anyway. But it's amazing how many people think I have a GT just because I have the pony package.

It's not my car or car payment, so what do I care what people do to their own cars? Paint GT in big orange letters on the side for all I care.

I agree, it makes me mad, but I try not to care seeing it's someone else's car.

Oh Yall suck!

Yall are just jealous cause my fabulous screaming yella Fauxbra got 20 extra HP from the Fake snakes.

And here we go again- Before this gets out of hand yet AGAIN.

My Dad gave me the mustang bug. When I started talking about getting a mustang he kept telling me he would get me a Cobra for Christmas.(My first car was a 79 cobra my Dad blew up hotrodding) . So I unexpectedly got Eleanor for Christmas last year from my hubby. Christmas morning comes- My Dad comes with a little white box I open it up and there are two snakes in it. Hence- he got me a cobra for Christmas. He wanted to put them on Ellie, So I let him, with the stipulation he put them on backwards so as not to pose. Everyone around here knows Ellie, and knows she isn't a cobra-Cause I am honest like that. I only like to mess with rednecks who won't be told different.
NOW I can't take em off cause he's all proud of em. I wanted to put 06 ponies on, but the snakes have sentimental value to me because I am extremely close to my Dad.
As for the Gascap, Aside from the Spinners and keeping out of trouble(Cause even with my six I drive like a bat out of hades), the pony gascap sealed getting a six for me.

Now all yall behave!

And to further screw with people:[attachmentid=36669]

I understand how some of you feel B)

I don't have a problem with someone modding their car anyway they want. Let's face it. It is their car

I do have a problem with people modifing their 4th gen GT's to make them a "Cobra Clone" for example and then trying to "SELL" them as a Cobra to someone who doesn't know better

My car doesn't even say GT anymore - replaced the fake rear gas cap with the one from the V6 and took the GT emblems off the side and put on the running pony emblems. The ponies look much better than the GT emblem IMO.

I agree with you. I love the GT and wouldn't complain if someone gave me one. (although my husband might... I'd probably get speeding tickets out the wazoo!!) But, I love how the V6's have the pony emblem all over them. It's a mustang.... it needs to have mustangs on it. The only thing I'm sad about with the V6 is that our interior doesn't have the cool pony's on the cloth seats. I love those!! -Marci

But you get used to

My only gripe, is if you go to the pool, then drive home the charcoal seats get watermarks then you have to spend the afternoon cleaning them.

Now this is where things might get a bit sticky. Its obvious that some believe its NOT appropriate for the owner of a V-6 Mustang to put GT emblems on their car. Its also obvious that some believe its not appropriate to place Cobra emblems on their non-Cobra mustang.

Wouldn't it then also be not appropriate (using the exact same logic) for the owner of a GT to remove their GT emblems and replace them with V-6 emblems or Cobra's? Just curious...

Don't confront me anymore-wasted too much time and energy worrying about it before I figured out there are better things in life. I figure whenever someone starts paying for my mustang, then they can tell me how to "decorate" it.

Its all a matter of opinion and how you look at things..

The Pony cap is much better looking than the GT cap- so who cares? Besides, the cars these were based on had the running pony on them.

Then again, these car dealers who are taking sixes and turning them into pretend Gts- those are  Cause someone who isn't a mustang enthusiast will come along and be convinced its something it is not.

How about me? Whenever I do go in for paint, I'm removing my GT emblems and not replacing them!

Oh the horror!!

Don't think about what other people are doing to their cars, do what you like, and be happy! And if people don't agree with your choices...screw em, who cares
