In your case, it may be years.

Hey, I average 16 miles a week! Give me some credit!

I just spent the better part of an hour cleaning the engine bay tonight in preparation for the show. I still have to jack up the wheels to wipe down the inner rim (lots of brake dust there), Z6 the body, and Z16 the tires and interior.

I know it sounds crazy and you're probably thinking how dirty can it be (the engine bay), but my rag was pretty dirty by the time I was through.

As a side note, we have a new member in the Shaker Club, Leo_06GT! See the whole post for install and after pics.

Let's see, 2 to 3 weeks of driving. I drive 260 miles a week (if I only drive to work, and if I only drive the 06 Mustang). So, let's say it takes 3 weeks for the check engine light to come on. That's 780 miles. At 16 miles a week, it will take you 49 weeks to see the light!

I took the car to my Thursday night cruise last night (after driving 9 hours home on our trip). The shaker got a lot of attention, and everybody seemed to like the "POWERED BY FORD" on the hood (at least I didn't hear any negative comments).

I have yet to see the light in anything in my life!

I 'm sure you got hit up with the same kind of questions I was asked.

Sounds like the PBF decals will stay on for a while longer?

Hi guys. I have a new transmission now and so far, no whine. I'll keep my fingers crossed. In the meantime, I installed SCT tune from Doug along with a new CAI (demolet). For now, I programmed the 87 octane performance tune, simply because that's the gas in my tank right now. I must say, the throttle lag is gone, and now I burn rubber in 2nd where before it just chirped.. definite in seat of the pants performance. Tom, you wouldn't like the whoosh I'm getting from the CAI though. I can't wait to put some 93 octane in and try the 93 torque tune.

I've read that the 91/93 Torque Tune is where you really feel the SOTP feel!

And good luck on the tranny!

How long does it take to upload? Remember it took like 30 minutes in my 03 GT with the Hypertech?

I don't mind the full throttle whoosh or sucking sound... what I didn't like with the CAI kit on the 03 was the hiss it made during light throttle... the place you are all the time during normal cruising speed. It sounded like a huge vacuum leak.

Maybe it was because of it being a slush-o-matic.

I didn't time it, but it was about 10 minutes.

I can hardly hear my K&N CAI as it is now because of my Stingers. Once the O/R H is on, forget about it!

How I spent my humid 85+ degree afternoon...

Jacked up the wheels to wipe away all the brake dust from the inner rim, Z-16'd the dash and other stuff, and cleaned all the windows inside and out.

I must have sweated off at least a pound!

Just the body and tires left. Getting ready for a carshow is hard work! Depending how well I do will dictate how much effort goes into prepping for the next one.

You'll have to invest in a trailer to get it there!

How's that heat wave doing?

Can't wait to see how you do Bill. I'm sure you will do great. As Tom said once, your pictures don't look real cuz the car is TOO perfect.

Not my area, I'm less than 10 miles from the beach.

What about our pilot holes? I don't know whick hands I would choose, either.

The pilot hole gives it's own persona! It'll make a great conversational piece.

Hmm I would want White hands, as my stripes are White and Black wouldn't stand out enough on the VB. I like the idea though. I was thinking about having a picture of my Mustang Painted on it. Wonder how much that would cost ?
