PS3 $399 (Still $100 more than I feel like paying)
BTW-Going to be relocating my LCA's to the lower LCA relo bracket hole. Also tightening the passenger side nut of my ADJ. panhard.
(Maybe I can hitch a ride with Leo. )
What you HD chumps are forgetting is that you'll need to upgrade your HDTV first to 1080P, otherwise you'll see no difference compared to my upconvert DVD player at 720P/1080i. And that my friends is where the big $$$ is.
Hope the LCA relo project goes easy.. try not to hurt yourself under the car Leo.

I think the 360 Arcade is $279.

Not totally true. Blue-ray still has alot more features over regular DVD. With that said you can try it out first hand since you already have a PS3.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Bill.

The hd-dvd on the 360 was a external add on...
Word is that a blue-ray add on is in the works, we'll see.
Leo-- What is the benefit of going to the lower hole? Anyways I hope it goes smoothly!

Would have rather seen HD-DVD win, NOT a fan of Sony.
Leo Same here, hope it goes OK. Although I don't think that there is any reason it shouldn't.

The benefit is supposed to be more traction but we'll see.
Chris sold the PS3 a while back (in fact, I think I offered it to you back then).
I'm just thinking about you Leo!
Just didn't want anything like this to happen.

I see how you are Leo.
I'll eventually make the move to Blue Ray, but I'll have to upgrade to a 1080P first. As far as 'more features', the movie runs for so long, the rest is junk 'special features' that no one watches anyway.

Upgrading from 720 to 1080 waste of money IMO. Doubt you'll notice the difference except for a lighter wallet.

Yes there is, bigtime:
1080p - 1920X1080 Progressive scan non-interlaced
1080i - 1920X1080 interlaced but usually processed in native mode of 1366X768
720p - 1280X720
Which means 1080p is MUCH better then 1080i
I can get into this deeper but I'm sure I'd bore you. Its my engineering side showing up fellas
Oh and most TV stations broadcast in either 720p or 1080i and will for some time to come.

Wow… What an eventful couple of days… Sunday I was gonna hook up with Philster in Houston til the wife pulled a fast one and wanted to have breakfast with her mother. We headed home after that. We got to Baton Rouge about 3 pm and the wife is talking to our daughter, who lives with us, when she says ” OH sh1+ I gotta go!” and hangs up abruptly only to call back to tell us that a tornado hit our neighborhood!
Adding to the tension the stang started to act up, lightly surging going up the overpasses. I thought it might be bad gas. It stalled completely when we pulled off to re-fuel north of Mobile and I barely made it to the pumps. Stalling and running rough. As I fueled up I checked the engine only to find the JLT hose clamps had come loosse at the elbow. I put it back on and it seemed fine but when I went to pull onto the interstate it went into limp mode. It re-started and gave no more problems on the way home. I had to show ID to get into my street and the police were patrolling all night long.
We sustained minor damage to the roof and windows, most of our privacy fences are down, my 12x24 workshop got rolled and my 8x10 metal shed is MIA… We were very lucky. I walked around the neighborhood yesterday and I am amazed that no one was killed. It looks like a war zone. There are about 200 homes damaged. Believe it or not we had power back yesterday morning and we have cable today. Anyway, I’ll try to get some pictures up later on.
