I've seen a production iron block 351W split length-wise along the block once before. Weirdest thing ever. The Intake was holding the motor together and once the intake was off there was a 1/2 -1 inch crack all along the lifter valley and on both ends of the block
But no holes or windows. Glad it wasn't mine

When that guy was running that car he may be guessing; "geez, I think some spark plugs failed, ah well, it's an easy fix".

The 351 blocks are a taller deck version of the small block, and are thicker between the cylinder webbing area, at least before 1986. When hydraulic lifters were added later, they became a little thinner, but not as much as the 302.

Yeah he was surprised, I took a pic too but the crappy cell phone didn't do a good job at it so I tossed the pic.

Good to meet most of the POTR crew lastnight at the Counter. Leo was right, the Peppercorn steak sauce is the bomb!

same here. Great to see the POTR crew again, even if only for a short time. The peppercorn sauce was the bomb.
I updated to 3.1 and I can't tell a difference in any function. Everything works like it was before.
