With my 'base tune', it needs to warm up because the cold fuel tables are off. Not only that, but even MMR says these motors make some 'mechanical' sounds/noises until warmed. Don W says he religiously warms his motor off before driving off.

I drove all over town today to get it just shy of 500. I'll finish it off when I return from Vegas.



I do believe that CEL was from an over-rich condition when cold, it's probably reaking havoc on the O2 sensors.
Either way, I'm not really pushing it. I took it to 4 psi during a quick acceleration, but that's about it.

Believe me guys, if anyone's paranoid about snapping rods, it's me.



You're right about that. But this time I know it's getting adequate fuel when my fuel pressure gauge shows upward of 50+ psi when blipping the throttle.

 

looks like he just lost control, one of the responses said that his wheel was loose, but it's still good on there, until he hits the wall, then it's kinda weird for the wheel to just come off

Well, just got back from the track. Tired No new times but I'm more consistent (read 9.0x's) I really need to work on that launch. Then I could get the 8.8X's more consistently.

Had two interesting runs.

Rx-7 - Only mods where down pipe and intake. Was nice to see him in the rear view mirror, especially since my friend puts them on a pedestal

Mustangt Gt - It had 4.10's and an intake. He claimed to have been running on average 8.6's but when I ran him I was able to beat him by a tenth One time only deal I'm sure, but I'm counting it

Leo 2 - was fun hanging out in the staging lanes.

He's just doing his 30k warranty. Where trying to help him avoid being mugged and raped out of $600 that his local Ford dealership quoted him.

You can leave the coveralls and "magic hands" at home.
