Hey... I downloaded that Rev Lite... pretty cool!

Expedition Everest was pulling just over 2 G's on the drop and around the curves.

How much is the iPhone-to-OBD cable??

The HP # of the '89 carries a lot of weight to me, since I designed that engine from scratch... hand picking every part.

To get 1.2 HP per cubic inch was huge for a N/A engine. To see what it (or the convertible) does in the 1/4 mile just isn't that important to me.

Maybe one day I'll get to the track and find out (I almost did back in April).

Until then... I'm still waiting for a POTR supercharged engine to catch my rear wheel numbers.
I understand. Especially for the 89. That would be very important to me too.

I could easily reach your numbers right now. On the third/fourth dyno pull I hit 469, but then asked to have it backed down for safety and reliability. Adam told me on the test drive that if I wanted a 100 octane tune it should lay down around 490, but "parts tend to start getting hurt on a stock bottom end at that number"

So it can be done, I have chosen not to. Once I get my budget build underway you'll have to re-think that because my goal is going to be 530-550 to the wheels. So the air-up-there isn't so rareified... mr 475...

I'll hold my record while I can! Maybe Tom will get 476 coming up soon here.

Yeah... let me know about the cable.

My problem is that this is my DD and only car. If I push it too much I'd end up like Bill and I don't have the resources to do that right now. save, save and save.... (praying the whole time it doesn't go bang).

I downloaded it too, as far as I can tell the cable is not available yet and I couldn't find any pricing info for it. I put my name on there update/email list.

Congrats Bill

Tom/Brian: as far as my HP numbers go, after driving the car again today (trying to get miles on the clutch) I think I'm gonna have it tuned down actually. The car seems to be a beast.... I just installed a new 2 bar MAP sensor from Aeroforce to use with their guage, and I'm only seeing around 9 psi boost now; with the Saleen 3.2 pulley I should be closer to 11 or even 12 psi. That tells me that the engine is flowing very well, even with factory heads. The twinscrew cams, FRPP headers, offroad exhaust, etc. must be working pretty good together, because even though my boost psi is down a little the car pulls as hard as a trailer park momma pulling tickets out of the ski-ball machine at Chuck E. Cheese.

(funny visual on that!)

Thanks guys.

Jed had to disbond one of the issues to get the scan right. It's good though, because I want to mount the pages on some type of board and display it in Chris' room.

Mixed bag of emotions

Packers lose and Rodgers might have a seprated shoulder. Should've kept Favre.

Jets win Favre has career day with 6TD's.

Jimmie Johnson wins and is the chase leader.

Good news is the Cowboys lost.

Do it... Dot it... Do it... Serious. Just Do it.

Question, I remember that my car is tuned for 91 octane fuel even though I use 93. Is there a performance difference if I have it retuned to incorporate the 93 octane or its whatever. I don't use anything less then 93, only thing I worry is the 10% ethanol the pumps are now displaying. Suggestions? What octane are you all tuned for and running?

I don't think the difference between a tune for 91 and 93 would be that much different...... I'd probably leave it as is, since that way it gives you a little bit of safety blanket too.

As far as ethanol, remember fuels such as E85 are actually very high in octane rating...... If it was more readily available around here, I would switch to it full time and have the car tuned for it. I don't recall exactly off-hand what it is but I think it's around 105 octane.
