Good one Tom! Kinda like sniping an Ebay bid, huh? :rofl2:

TacoBill 6/21/07 05:30 PM

Just got back from Hose Techniques and spent $28 on 2 black silicone hoses. :screwy:

Why couldn't C&L use black instead of blue? :banghead:

To top it off, I'm going to have whack off about an inch off one of them. The other one is about 0.75" too long (compared to the blue one), but may fit just fine as is. I'll find out Saturday.

habu 6/22/07 05:16 PM

I've got nothing going on either. Today is another system upgrade at work, so I just got here, and I treated today more like a Saturday getting stuff done in the morning.

One question for the CDC classic (or any spoiler really) people...Except Bill cause I know his answer.

How much, ballpark, did it cost to get the CDC painted ? I've got two inital quotes of 200 bucks and 450 ? I have no idea what it "should" cost so I don't know if the 200 is too cheap or if the 450 comes w/vaseline ??

While the Database is doing it's thing I'll likely be bored out of my mind and will be here more ...

$450 sounds crazy unless that's the qoute for both chin spoiler and ducktail. Even then sounds a little on the high side. I'd say somewhere between $200-300 sounds fair since we are in Socal.

habu 6/22/07 11:06 PM

The 450 was for both at Caliber Collision. The 200 bucks was also for both at the local Ford dealer. There is a place that Bill knows about in Torrance, but to be honest I'm looking for something around my area. Not that Torrance is too far, but it just isn't as easy to get to Mon-Fri when most places are open. Thanks for the reality check Leo. So neither of these are too far off, well not much anyway.

Unless I find a good recommendation for something around here, the Local deal will get my biz. I figure that they've got to paint bumpers and spoilers for wrecked cars so it's not going to be an entirely new process for them and I'm sure they've got Vista Blue...

In other paint news. Ford Blue ceramic engine enamel has been bought and will be applied Sunday most likely, pics will follow!!!

Nice! Don't cheese out, Brian! We want pics!

Unless you're planning on letting it dry overnight before re-installing them?

habu 6/22/07 11:54 PM

I didn't word that correctly. I'm not doing the covers 'til Sunday. I'll take pics as I go and post when I'm done.

Saturday I have to do part II of the system upgrade so I won't have the time to do it then
