I'll call Saleen tomorrow just curiuos! Looks like they beat ROUSH to the punch. I would consider a worked 4.6 3V from ROUSH if they offered it. All of there crate motors seem like push rod power plants. ROUSH should make the motor in the P51 cars available in S-Block, L-Block & crate. The engineerimg and R & D is done already so this would be easy for them. Maybe they don't want to make this available because you may make your own P51Maybe it would de-value the P51? I A stroker assembly I think is the best cost effective route for me since the motor is still intact.

After you sell the house, "cost effective" will be out of your vocabulary

Right now looking at AutoMeter UltraLites to fill this gizmo...To my surprise the CDC gauge pod holes are canted toward the driver!

Looking at full sweep gauges:

Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Water Temp

The electronic version of these puppies are expensive I had know idea that they can get this for basic gauges? Is AutoMeter that good My one complaint to the CDC unit is that you can see the injection mold "rings" at the top of the pod exactly where the red arrow is pointing. So you know what that, means this needs a paint job.

Cha Ching Cha Ching Cha Ching!... Ah the price we pay for mods! and being bad azz

Bad News- Looks like the rims won't be here until Saturday. No track for me this Friday.

Jed-I thought you already had a pillar pod?

I do but that's all Supercharger management stuff. I need engine management stuff because the ROUSH stock panel is so lame.

I think they look great... and would keep a lot of stuff from flying up.

Can I get those from the dealer?

No chance. Would it be cool to shoehorn a bigblock? Hellz yeah!
Alas, due to money, CARB, time, money, then more money, it's staying at 281.

You don't have to tell me that brother!

Thoughts on the SOS dash pod? Kinda looks goofy by itself, but think it'll go along with the SOS A-Pillar pod that I already have?
They have 2 kinds, no-drilling and drilling.

Without a doubt!

I keep saying it, but I have to drive this thing MORE! I'll try and make it a point to once I'm up and running.

BAP install update...

Trying to figure out where I want this thing mounted.

Here's where KB tells you to mount it in their SC install manual. Problem is, it pooches the rear plastic panel out near the bottom. Locating it slightly outboard will work, but then the wires won't reach.

What looks good so far is to mount it in the spare tire well. Plenty of wire length, more ventilation than being covered with the carpet, and won't interfere with the spare if I decide to keep the spare (I'm thinking of going the PJ inflator route).

That looks like a great area to install it Bill, it almost blends in with the color

Oh and for gosh sakes you need to drive the Stang more once its up and running! And with the new engine I bet you will have a hard time tearing yourself away from driving it, I know I would.

Yeah, I put mine there too, plenty of room with or without the tire. Also once you get it all hooked up if you put your ear up to it you should hear a buzz with the dial all the way at 50. If you can hear the buzz you know it's working. My controler is always set at 50 so once I got it all done I put a piece of electrical tape over the **** so it wouldn't move.

Yeah they're the "molded" GT flaps.

For some reason if you copy and paste the image I can see it.
I prefer the look of the gauges on the pillar instead of the dash. JMO.

Ray-Looks like I'm staying in SD for the weekend so I won't be able to make it.

So far looks like I'll be having a pretty eventful weekend. Saturday morning I'm going to the Red Bull Air Races. One of the Navy bases has an awesome view of the bay and they're setting up bleachers on base so it's free. Then either that night or Sunday going down to Barona to watch the drag races and get a feel for Barona before taking the car.

That's the picture diagram I needed 2 weeks ago.

Robbie, did you wire the 2 boost switch wires together like your diagram suggests?

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing it by the book and use the boost switch. Jed's Roush uses the switch and Brenspeed includes it in the kit, but I read lots of guys just bypass it all together.

It's not either/or, it's an addition to, if and when I need additional gauges.

Just wondering if it's a good match with my a-pilliar setup, or look at the CDC or Shelby ones.
