Ponies on The Run!
Yeah, and think about it. The 4:10's will actually only cost you Fifty bucks!! $299. vs $249.
got a question for you all. I'm stock, so far, performance wise. If, check that, when, I get the 4:10's, do I need a tune? Or can I wait until I do the CAI & Stinger's. I was going to do them first, but for $50., can't pass this up.

Yes, a tune is required when running anything but the gearing that came with the car.
Because of the sale, I'd jump on it, but wait on the install. If you can swing it, get the CAI/Xcal2 next. Once you have the Xcal2, you'll be able to adjust the tune parameters accordingly for the 4.10's.
Stingers you can add anytime, no tune required for those.

Brian? Phil?
I think POTR is on the top 5 threads list, but not the top 3 believe it or not.
"...You mean a $50 difference, right?....."
Symantic's, that's all. Face it, going to change them anyway. So, what's an additional $50. Kinda like going to the Casino with $100. and you come home with $20. You didn't lose $80, as some would say. You actually WON $20. (Hey, you came home with money, right.
Thanks for the quick response. Why I follow this ONE particular thread. I was thinking just hold off on the install also. BUT, I know me. I'd give in and pull that sucker apart, and probably as soon as I got the tracking number on the shipping.

Off to the Mustang Cafe in a bit. Meeting Brian there tonight.
I'll be sure to take some pics under the clear, warm, SoCal night.

Gosh it took me half an hour to catch up on all the posts from today. You guys are going nuts today. What threads are ahead of this one?
I don't have sequentials, but I don't really like them. Definitely not something I want to spend money on. Too many other things I want to do.

For gears, do you need a tune for anything other than fixing the speedometer? I don't think so... When my '89 was computer-controlled I changed gears and never had to "tell" the computer that I did so. I never got a CEL.
So you could get gears and not worry about a tuner right away (as long as you remember that your speedometer and odometer will be off).

Attachment 28447 kinda blurry cause I couldn't use the flash
Never could find a cap that wouldn't oxidize over time. These are made from billet. Plus, it's kinda cool to see the water temp right at the cap. I tested it today and the water temp in the intake manifold (where the gauge in the car reads it) was 190° and the temp at the cap never left the 140° area.

I was very happy when I found out the new Mustangs were coming with 3.55 gears.
That was exactly what I would have put in if I couldn't get them.
They are a perfect balance of acceleration and general performance with a 5spd OD tranny IMO.
I've noticed that you don't have to shift out of 3rd with this car in a 1/4 mile. One less shift is kinda handy.
Unless I add a S/C I don't see the point of 4.10s other than the obvious "seat of the pants" feel.
Just my opinion.

I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid.(Of course they weren't billet.)
I didn't know they still made them.

Thanks for posting. $25.95 is not a bad price

And Brian God knows we are trying to get this threat into the top 3 position, I know I've been accused of being a blow heart (guess its deserved) As long as I'm not hacking you guys off, I hope you'd PM me and tell me I was a jerk and talking to much.

We gotta crack the #3 position!
