Ed, you're ready for the tunes now.

Better read this post by Doug first before you think about calling him.

You are incorrect my friend.

The whole Forced Induction community refers to them as hoses.

See for yourself... Hose Techniques

This is the place I'll be looking to replace my blue hoses.

Sorry y'all, ain't budging for the KB just yet. I have lots more 'budget mods' to do first.

So, um... Bills looking to get hosed ??

Hey, good news. I'll have my SSE Ducktail saturday, going down to stillen to pick it up, saving shipping, and my CDC front chin and struts Tuesday !!!

Whoops.... As far as nav WHEN I get one it'll likely be a portable so I can use it in any vehicle, like Tom got/is getting.

Bill, just busting yer chops on the whole KB deal. I know budgets, for example instead of getting my cam covers powercoated I'm thinking of getting GEARS OF WAR... install might have to wait a little bit but I'd have 'em.

what are the chances that we'll hit 500 pages before the end-of-day ? Phil

Changing the subject...

Daryl- Where the heck are pics of your modded shaker shroud. I sent you the trim over two weeks ago. Let's see the pics.

Brian- If you don't mind me asking have you found out how much it's going to run you to get the chin spoiler and ducktail painted? Are you going to have the place install them too or you doing that yourself?

Bill- Get the KB and I'll take those pulleys and delete plates of your hands.

Well its time for a nomenclature change.............

Hey you're not from Texas so you can't say y'all, only I can say that. And if your going to say it then say it right, like your fixing to get your budget mods first.

OK then hurry up on the budget stuff and get the KB and let Leo have the other stuff like a good TMS'er should.

How much to get painted... I don't know. I gotta find a place first. When I first bought my car I asked the local Ford dealer and got a quote for 160 bucks. So my budget is about 200 or so. I figured I could do the install myself.

hey he's swapping out the crank pulley... just get a water pump one and buy his and you'd be set.
Or Bill could just get the KB. He wants one, he can taste it. He just has to re-charge his mod batteries.

I forgot about Daryl's Shaker trim. Yeah, where's the pics at?

I believe (don't quote me on it) you can run both mods with a S/C. Only draw back is that the pulley will turn a little slower. I think one guy went smaller on his S/C pulley (which would've produced more boost) to compensate for the UPD's.

As far as the DP's, I would think it would only benefit FI cars more.

Well as I see it I am convinced that paint isn't as bad as it's made out to be . I was thinking about just getting the powdercoated covers but then thought that 180 or so bucks would buy gears... so if the painting works, it's staying and I'm getting gears. If the painting looks like horse-pucky then powdercoat covers are for me.
Man I hope I can paint these OK.

According to Tom, they're a piece of cake just as long as you follow the can's direction to the tee.

Tillman is having some gear package deal going on in the GT section. See that yet?

Yeah... read the directions. And don't re-coat after 1 hour unless you wait the 7 days. It talks about that on their website, too... how it will not adhere properly and will flake off.

I have had absolutely no time. It's either raining, I'm out of town or Both. (Out of town all this weekend and next week. (Vactaion )
I will get it done eventually, but remember I trimmed mine differently than both of you guys and it may not work as yours did.
I really need to spend a weekend and do some TLC (wash, zaino, detail) to my baby. The weather has just not cooperated with me lately.

Bill, I am your father. Join me on the dark side. (KB talking)

Bill is going to have to get that shift light installed for sure before he gets that KB

Honestly, I don't see the point of the KB, or any supercharger for that matter. The car is PLENTY fast now. Once you're up to the speed limit, extra power means nothing. Sure, more power is always better, but little Geo Metros go the same speed as you when you're doing the speed limit.

But Mike getting there (speed limit) as fast as you can is whats its all about and a KB will help that cause.

Bill has all the toys, he just needs this toy for sure

So is the consensus that Ford Blue will look the best.

3.73's?

C'mon Brian, 4.10's or Bust!
Going from 3.55 to 3.73 will hardly be worth it IMHO. In fact, Leo got the opportunity to ride in an Auto that originally had 3.31's, then did the swap to 3.73's and had he not known it just got gears, the difference was little.

Find any pics of covers painted Ford Blue? If so, post them up for us. I'll look in the meantime for any.
