Also, I'm curious if the cover will interfere with the K&N cone filter.
After reading the thread it looks like that guy bought the matte black finish as opposed to just the plain plastic finish. If that makes anysense. I say this after looking at the pic of the GO stang which has matted orange covers. From my understanding these are the three options from MWAG.
1)Covers match factory rad cover
2)Covers painted to match car color but keep textured finsih. (like rad cover)
3)Covers painted in glossy finish like the strut tower covers.

Just got off the phone with MWAG and the above was confirmed. The guy with the black stang bought the matte black finish which is why the didn't match the rad cover. So with that said here are the official prices I got from them.
$59 covers match the stock rad cover.
$79 covers painted in matte finish. (Like the GO and Black stang in the other thread)
$99 covers painted in high gloss like their shock tower covers.

And they are saying Option #2 will match the body the best? I would think it would be Option #3.

I think Leo meant that opt 2 and 3 are color matched. #2 being in the texture of the plastic where as #3 is smooth like the strut covers.

Yup Bill understood me.

So what do you guys think would look better in my engine bay considering it's all dark unlike your engine bays.
1)The $59 ones that match the factory rad cover.
2)The $79 textured finish w/ a new factory rad cover to match.
3)The $99 high gloss finish w/ a factory rad cover to match.

FYI-MWAG offers the textured finish rad cover for $119 and haven't decided on a price for the gloss finish.

Well they're post confused me which is why I called and got a better explanation. So I would just ignore what they posted and take what I said as the "good word". As of now only option 2 color matched (textured) and option 3 color matched (gloss) are on their website. I've yet to find any pics of the gloss finish ($99) or the stock look ($59) on their site or on the other thread.

Here's a pic of the painted to match/textured finish. IMO everyone that doesn't have a black car could upgrade to these without it looking out of place like it would on mine.

Okay, I'm lost now.

Bottom line, I would like the 'factory finish' like the stock center cover, which I believe is Opt #1.

I still would like to know if it would hit the K&N filter.

Yes if you want them to match finish/color of the factory rad cover you'd order Opt #1 $59.

After seeing this pic I've decided it would look weird to go with #2 since the textured black finish would be darker than the grill. So opt 2 is out of the vote. With that said which do you guys think I should go with now opt 1 or opt 3??? There's about a $150 difference bewtween the options.

I think it'll look funny having smooth, gloss painted covers flanking the center grey cover... at least that's my first impression. Maybe they'll look better in person.

Thanks for being the first to order a set of these, Leo. I'd like to see how it fits into the whole Shaker/CAI theme.

NO,NO,NO your not understanding me. I'm debating between the plain jane covers (which will match the factory rad cover) or getting a new glossy rad cover with glossy ext's to match. It would be a gloss finish all the way across. I agree it would look bad to have the glossy finish on either end with the stock rad cover.

I won't be ordering these untill I see a few more pics.

Bill, if you got them, they should be Torch Red, not black to match the center cover. That GO looks great with the body matching extensions. They just don't flank the radiator cover, they continue up from the bumper:

Therefore, they should match that piece that comes up from the bumper between the headlights and the grille.

+1 the GO looks great unfortunatly the same can't be said for the black stang with the same combo. I think you and Bill,Daryl,Brian,Susan should go with the color match. Not sure if glossy or textured would look better for you guys.
