I love the way your car sounds Bill (IMO that's the best sound for an S197) BUT it doesn't have the rumble of an SN95. I think its more the muffler location than anything else. Yes, the 4V is the sex but I think 2V's come in second. I hate to admit it

I hate to admit it Okay, its a lot easier now that I have a 2V I can tell you the the fox 5.0 exhaust sounded wicked, especially with a lopey cam.
How about something more functional? Like a shaker hood?

Hood scoop or bust. There is no option. Look at how lame the one without the scoop looks.
Don't forget the honeycomb panel for the rear.

Yes and no. It kind of does but mine has more rasp to it. Not a good comparison considering a) that's a 5.0 and b) it has headers
Here's an exact set-up but the video doesn't do it justice. When I found out the car came with an O/R X, I was bummed because I thought it sounded like **** but its completely different in person.

That linked video sounds pretty good at idle, but sounds funny when he rev'd it.

I thought the same thing until I heard it in person. I don't know, it all could be in my head
Looking back at your pic, I don't know.. I prefer the look of your current hood more than the scoop. It just looks cleaner.
