The 300 bucks is steep for the MGW. However after having the POS Hurst in my car and wanting to mangle the POS, the MGW is really the only shifter to have. Talk to Bill, George, Luis, Leo (oh... whoops Leo doesn't count ) anyway, It's a great shifter and you'll end up getting it anyway after being frustrated with the others, save that frustration and shifter money to put towards the MGW.</MGW commercial>

So... you haven't 'splained.... Auto > Manual.. WTF, chuck ? How, what when...etc. Not something you just do Plenty of peeps keep the auto and are putting out more power than you will be and really only blow the auto up 'cause their beating the siht out of it on the strip. Still going manual but what's the skinny ?

If you can't say, tell me to STFU, I'd get where you're coming from.

typing this crap since I got home....
Code:
    $day_offset = date("w",mktime(0, 0, 0, $month, 1, $year));
    if ($day_offset > 0) {
        for ($i = 0; $i < $day_offset; $i++) { print '<td>&nbsp;</td>'; }
    }
    $yesterday = time() - 86400;

    // print out the days
    for ($day = 1; $day <= $totaldays; $day++) {
        $day_secs = mktime(0,0,0,$month,$day,$year);
        if ($day_secs >= $yesterday) {
            if ($day_highlight && ($day == $this_day)) {
                print sprintf('<td align="center" bgcolor="%s">%d</td>',
                              $opts['today_color'],$day);
            } else {
                print sprintf('<td align="center">%d</td>',$day);
            }
        } else {
            print sprintf('<td align="center">%d</td>',$day);
        }
        $day_offset++;
My eyes are crossed, night ladies

Thats the only place i found that sells them...if you have a link, please share.

The 5 speed is a deal i cant pass up....the auto has given me fits trying to get tunes correctly for the S/C and a stick just makes that a non issue....I can take it or leave it....if i pull it off, good. If not, thats fine too...but i have to at least chect out the details....besides, i remember SOMBODY on POTR calling it a GIRLOMATIC....i havent forgotten that....

MGW LTD is the only place to buy 'em
http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_shifter.shtml
only place to get 'em too. You might, might find a couple people here & there selling them if the car is being parted out, but you know how that goes.
And the hurst **** part # is somewhere... I had it so I could order one from Summit when I sold the Hurst I took out of mine. Look long enough on summit and it's there somewhere. (big help I know)

Tossing the girl-o-matic, A+ move, IMO.

and for the rest of you tossers....

Of course I had to do that to the two best photoshoppers here, probably not the smartest thing ever, but what can you do. Ray can boogie....

I've read in prior threads that it's a PITA swap. Doable, but will cost some coin to do.

I dunno, if I were putting in an all new forged 302, I'd opt for a set of Livernois heads instead of donor heads. Just saying.

If you're dead set on the donor heads, what are you doing to them prior to install?

Going with ARP studs and fasteners?

The Hurst ball is cool, but the MGW Gripper ball is 10x better IMO.

I have the MGW composite **** on right now, doesn't feel as good as the Gripper, but looks cooler.

Maybe it's good that they just don't make them like they used to?

One thing I can't stand is a drunk obnoxious broad.....
Oh, and liver and onions...I hate that too, so I guess that’s two things.
...or is it three?

I'm torn about the auto vs stick.
Both have advantages....

The heads are free....the livornis are not....so there is why.
The heads are coming off a 587 rwhp saleen....they have all the right stuff in them....the motor is being built with all the right stuff too...I was worried about the auto trans, so this should help that out.
I am getting a deal on the trans and install, so the cost is very low.....other wise I wouldnt have considered it.

Hurst ball all the way....

Listening to this song again after all these years I finally realize what she's really telling him.

"You got the gold mine honey, but he's got the shaft...."
