Heck, I wish I could pull off consistent times I'm going to the track next weekend now
Your coming down to Qualcomm now?

Should make for an interesting race though.

Why didn't you go with an electrical gauge?

I thought only old timers still use mechanical gauges.
The tires are actually pretty good and if I burnout enough they hook no question. If anything I am not used to them hooking.

I've always believed understood that for vac/boost mechanical was better. More instant response over electrical. Now for me, personally, is a $200 electrical gauge better than a $65 dollar mech. gauge... You can probably bet the other reason I went mechanical.

If we did than yes I'd say the races would be close or you'd flat out win everytime.

Now let's go back to reality.

Reality is I've got an auto tranny that I ran a best of 8.3 but usually ran 8.4-8.5 consistently. Now I've got about an extra 100rwhp. There's no launching or other crap I have to get used to. I just smash the gas pedal and go. So I'm guessing that at the very least I'll get a 7.9 if not better.

You've got a Manual. I have no doubt's that it's alot more difficult to drive and takes more skill and practice. With that said the best you ran with your whipple was 8.3 but the majority of the time was 8.6ish if I'm not mistaken. So let's assume that next Friday you continue to improve and knock off a 3-4 tenths and get down to 7.9 as well. Who do you think is going to get closest to reproducing that 7.9 time after time?

Just saying.
Yes you are right, reality is 4.10s vs 3.55s, Weight, Auto, manual, Instant boost, more HP...... we both now have very close cars if not **** equal. For every advantage the other has an offsetting advantage....

Am I consistent enough yet, no. But I am improving and plan to do so at your expense.

Gotta love smack talk

Hell Bill would see the waterbox and pass out or try to drive up the track backwards to avoid it.

There is a disadvantage of the down-low on a TS sure, but there are plenty ways to make that an advantage. Just like now, do you take the car up to 2500 rpm and drop the clutch ?? you'd be spinning the tires with your stock engine non-stop. So TS, Stock, centri is all the same problem, it's the extent of the problem and how you cure it.

You already did, twice.

And I'll always remind you of that.

It can be depending the length of hose from the tap to the gauge. Obviously, the longer the more inaccurate.

Electrical is pretty **** instant, like our throttles.

But yeah, fractions of a second.. what's the diff.

Now, I'm not going. Only reason I was down to go was for the smack talk. I will however make the trip for Barona.
