Everything on my car is hand painted from the lights to the rims by me. everywhere I go I get compliments, invitations to shows, and thumbs up from random people. I would definitely go hand painted because not only can you control how dark/light you want it but you get a pure custom look (and bragging rights).
Just be super sure you follow the directions on the cans. cover every near painted part of your car with something like newspaper because that tint mattes your paint and you'll never get it off after an hour! Also make sure your somewhere cool and your car is cooled off, I did my side markers in 120 AZ heat and it started bubbling. (But you can buff it out after it sets a while)
For my rims and grill I used headlight tint as well because I wanted that black chrome look and it came off BEAUTIFUL! just how I wanted it.
Also make sure everything is super clean, and I didn't use clear coat (looks amazing without it and it wont reflect at night so you can be completely invisible)
Ill add more pictures in a bit my phone wont allow me to upload them for you

here's some more...
sorry that they're not in order![Frown](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
but this entire look only cost me $33 (cans are about $11 each) and 4 days of work (I had to have it ready for a photo shoot).

No I don't have HIDs but I've been considering them. You can see pretty good except when there's absolutely no light around you, then its a little difficult.
Thanks, its breath taking at sunset ill get some better pics the end of this month with the Arizona sky
