Cross your fingers, these new café regulations are going to be brutal on performance and displacement.

Well with fords new ecoboost engine i can see them working that into the v6 stangs. As for the gt and shelbys, carbon fiber is the future to save weight and squeeze out every last mile from the car. I hope the cafe regulations for different classes. Lkke the 35 or higher for sedans, 25 and up for trucks and performance sedans and coupes.

I like imports and the competition from Camaro and Challenger, etc as well. Motor Trend recently put Hyundai on top of Mustang, Camaro and Chally V6s I respect everyone's ride, no matter what brand it is, it's their baby, and like to see folks cranking out the horsepower. I remember having my first car and just starting out.

I hope that is not true or you can say goodbye to the mustang being affordable to the working man.

Well carbon fiber would probably only be used in certain parts. Ford could learn from how the vette is made with its hydroformed aluminum frame and other design elements that could keep the mustang comparatively affordable while the ford gt competrs directly with the vette and the next gen viper. You can expect the pony wars are FAR from over. Theyll adapt with the times and improve to meet the "standards" set by our government while still igniting fire and passion in the nations society

Amd yea i was actually very surprised when the genesis put out more power and ran faster then the stang! But the again its lighter, smaller, and not as practical. But still a very well built car. And i appreciate most rides, mostly if theyre taken care of. If it looks like its neglected then i pay no attention usually

The GT is an animal but I wish ford would make a more affordable 2 seater to directly compete with the vette. Like a new T-bird but much more mean and performance oriented than the last iteration.
That's right, the GT and the last T-bird were around the same time. It would be nice to all these cars come back, better than ever. Just as long as Ford continues to provide the award winning hybrid fusion and Hybrid Escape to balance the portfolio. I read today where Chrysler is looking to build gas electric hybrid vans and trucks that use hydraulics rather than batteries. Keep providing muscle cars, keep researching fuel efficiencies, alternative fuels, etc to provide something for everybody.
