No respect I tell ya. No respect.

At a light today, top down naturally....a couple of young teenagers were waiting to cross the street.

I hear "yo, check it out...nice wheels dude"

I glanced over at them to say thanks, and I realized they were ogling the blue Subaru BRZ in front of me (is the BRZ a Scion or is a Scion a BRZ?).

They didn't even see me!!!!!! I guess my perfectly detailed black paint blinded them......yeah, that's it...that's why they didn't see me.

Tom

There's two types of people. Those who love muscle, and the others whom we don't talk about haha.

Honestly, those cars have no power whatsoever. Did I mention that they come stock with Prius spec tires?

That's the point... So you can gets lots of oversteer and wheel spin without needing tons of power. Fun cars to drive.

Exactly. You need to drive one of these cars to appreciate it. They are slow as hell, but a ton of fun.

No offense, but I don't pay much attention to convertible cars in general.

I know that, my friend owns one that I've played with on a track.

Driven one, don't appreciate it. Certainly no where near what it's supposed to be replicating(AE86).

Maybe it's a fun grocery-getter lol.

Meh, consider the source. Probably got dain bramage from playing too many video games. I expect they'd rather eat hot dogs and macaroni and cheese than a grilled ribeye and baked potato, for that matter. They're not even on your radar, Tom.

Pretty much...

I find it hilarious that this thread is about people not respecting someone's car, then everyone in the thread goes and disrespects a different car

I mean, I get the sarcasm in the first post, but some people here need to relax a bit.

Huh? People need to get riled up first for a need to relax . Mickstang and I are the only ones who commented against the FRS. Why do we need to relax? It's not like we were flaming someone lol.

Am I missing something?

This thread is a waste of bandwidth lol.

Well I appreciated the Rodney Dangerfield reference. I use that line (with a smile) a lot too when I don't win at car shows. Always brings a laugh, at least from the older guys.

Tom, apparently you riled the children of the forum a little. Seems they are a bit unable to understand levity, and mirth as it is presented. What I got from the post is, "those youngin's ain't been raised right to look past a Mustang for a ricemobile". Oops, hope I didn't step across the offending line there.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic....maybe even self-deprecating...that I would be so narcissistic to think that the whole world is just chomping at the bit to look at my car!!!! The fact that I had "Positively 4th Street" by Dylan blasting on the Shaker probably didn't help my street cred too much.

Tom

Lol was it before or after you put the wheels on? I bet if it was after, and lowered, they would've noticed you

I honestly really like the BRZ/FR-S twins. Just way overpriced for what you get. At $18k they'd be worth it, not at $25-30k.

Hey if you want the "Beeber" generation to respect you, you will have to mount a couple of melon launchers under the bumper and a aluminum picnic table wing on the trunk of your Stang...."YO!"

I have some coffee cans laying around....I could use them for exhaust tips. Would that work?
