Nice Saturday

Nothing like hanging out with the guys, turning wrenches, & detailing the Mustangs!

Very cool! My friend has an '04 Cobra, can't wait to get home and cruise around.

Very nice, I wish that's how I spent my Saturday. Wouldn't mind if that's what my driveway looked like either. Got the grille for your '09 from AM, didn't you? I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that black GT when I was on the market for a new grille. Good work on it, very clean look. What type of wax are you using?

Thanx! I did get my grille from AM. As for the wax, well, I use primarily Poorboy's World products. I use their swirl removers, polish, glaze, & sealant. I normally use their Natty's Blue paste wax on top of all that, but I tried something different this time. I used Wolfgang Fuzion. It's pricey, but I really like the look.

My buddy's 2010 GT500. Still looks good from when I detailed it last year. All we did for this pic was polish the rims, & throw a coat of Natty's Red wax on it.

Brian with my Porter Cable D/A working on his '05 GT. We put a polished 62mm throttle body on it, then gave it a full detail. Swirl removal, polish, glaze, & sealant.

Polished TB adds a nice touch. He's got powdercoated valve covers that are going on next.

Mothers & Meguiers are ok, probably the best over-the-counter products available. But there's a lot better stuff online. I switched to Poorboy's World products back in 2005 or so, & I've never looked back. There's a lot more to getting a great shine, however, than just wax. Detailing is about 70% technique, & 30& product. It's all about paint prep.
