Saleen. Foose. Shelby. Steeda. Roush. All of them side with Mustangs mostly. But this dude is cranking up the guages on Corvettes and Camaros. I read an article on the Hennessey Camaro, and it mentioned that it can "Take any Mustang to town!".. It's acceleration is incredible, but the price is disgusting. A camaro for the price of a 2006 Corvette?



Do you guys think that Hennessey will really put these guys to commission, or will he fall, and once again prove the Mustang victorious? What do you guys think of this? Personally, with all the Mustangs out there, from the Roush stage 3, to the Saleen Extreme, The King of The Road, and my personal favorite, The Terminator, I think that no Mustang buyer out there will betray the Stang with such expensive cars from a dying GM. Just as the Z28 did, Hennessey's dreams are destined to die, because they are linked with the ever-weakening GM. Mustangs rule!

 

Have you seriously never heard of Hennessey before? He's not like Saleen or Roush. Not connected with GM at all and has been doing with with Vipers for years.

 

I know all about the Venom Viper. I am talking about his attempt to deal with GM, you know, kiling the z28. I mean, what will this mean for the guys that do make mustangs?

The only mustang made in Hennessey's price range is a super snake. Doesn't affect mustangs at all. He doesn't exactly have the best reputation anyway. I'd bet you'll never see a GM Hennessey anything in person unless you go to certain events in Houston.

 

The GT500KR, Saleen S302 Extreme, and let's not forget those million dollar rare classics like the 1967 GT-H, fox Cobra R, Superstallion, etc,... There are tons of super expensive Mustangs out there. and it might affect the Stangs in a way. You see, the Mustang is so successful, that when new cars come in, they are often compared to Mustangs. The Hennessey Camaro was heavily compared to the GT500 in the article I read. Also, for might-have-been-Z28 buyers who then moved onto Stangs, Hennessey would rally them back.

But what I don't understand, is why make them so **** expensive? It's the cheap cars that succed. Ex. the Mustang. For example, a cheap sports car can easily be tuned to 1200 hp with the cash you save in comparison to that Hennessey Camaro. The smart thing for Hennessey to do would be lower down the price to like at least $50,000 and instead of placing all those expensive performance parts, just instal a 10k supercharger. Do you know what a muscle car with a $10k supercharger can do?

Are you sure it is Hennessey that makes the Super Snake and not Shelby?

 

no, he's talking about price range. the super snake is like 70 grand i think. Hennessey has never touched mustangs before. Shelby is the pattener of any car with the cobra badge, exept for the SVTs.

 

Actaully the cost of a Super Snake is around 90,000. I will prolly be getting one in a couple years.
