New manual driver needs tips
So I just got a new 2019 bullitt and it’s my first manual car. I’m doing pretty good driving but I find that I could be getting the car moving faster. What I usually do to start going in 1st smoothly is I’ll let the clutch out until the car is rolling then I give it gas. However I’ve seen others rev the car first and then release the clutch. What is the best method for this?
If you're looking for maximum quickness then learn where your car's revs need to be to reduce wheel spin (the sweet spot). After that then it's even throttle application to wide open until your car feels to slow down in acceleration than it's onto the next gear and repeat. This takes a lot of practice and patience in a manual. But learning this is also the fun part!

Nice pics!!!
slow is smooth, smooth is fast . . . or something like that . . . isn't that what they say?
What I mean is, work on being smooth first, and quick will come later. Once you get to the point where the clutch comes without thinking (much), you can add more gas quicker to get moving quicker. Basically you need to give it gas and let out the clutch at the same time. Just don't give it too much gas, unless you really do want to do burnouts all over the place, LOL
Don't worry about rev-matched downshifts. I've been driving manual for about 40 years and still haven't mastered that, and I even do OK on the road track. Or just push the button and let the car to if for you!
