Need restoration advice please.

My car is getting old. It runs rough, it makes bad noises. The whole nine. I'm finally starting to try and replace some parts on it little by little to make sure I give it the life it deserves. I just need some advice on what parts are most essential to make a priority. It runs a bit hot sometimes, so i was thinking of putting a new radiator in it. But I'm not sure which one. I want to get a good one. I was wondering if I could get a radiator for a 1993 5.0 to fit in my 1993 2.3L. Not too good with cars so i wanna play it smart. Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is a guy on here that goes by the handle SVOPaul. He'd probably be the best one to ask re: restoration, along with AlsCobra. You can find them in the community section under member list.

Define "bad noises".

Just my $0.02, before throwing $$ at a problem like overheating, look at the simple stuff like radiator flush/fill, proper sensor and thermostat operation (and correct temp tstat), air trapped in the system, etc.

Unless you have modified things, if the stock rad worked in the past, it should suffice now and any overheating is indicative of a different issue.

Nothing too bad like a loose belt or something. Just little knocks in the suspension while I'm driving. The struts, suspension and sway bars that came stock were crap, and they're a bit rusted out. Plus I'm missing a few bolts and washers from my driver side control arm.

I've always started my restos with suspension.Make a budget for your each step of your process. Don't for forget about drive train bushings, even if they are stock rubber they age crack and cause squeaks and rattles.Your rear end link bushings wear out as well. A fresh set of springs, struts and shocks is about a $500.00 start.Your car is about 25 years old and an old suspension is just that.I know, I'm 58 and my **** sags too.
