Need advice on exhaust setup for my 2016 GT.
Hello everyone, I am a new member on this forum. I am going to buy a mustang GT in the next month or so and I'm already looking for the modifications that I am going to make.
It will be a stock 2016 GT. As of now I have shortlisted Corsa Extreme Catback, Borla Atak Catback and Roush A/B with X pipe. I also plan on getting long tube headers and a tune. Could you guys please provide any feedback if you have similar setups? I want a REALLY loud exhaust and cops here in Toronto don't bother too much as long as I got mufflers. Let me know which one would sound loud, less raspy. I'm a newbie so thank you so much for helping out!

I 'think' you can no longer use the catback exhaust being sold if you add long tube headers because they are made to used with the factory cats. I might be wrong...……..
I think those will all be pretty loud!
And yes, if you are going with long tube headers, you need to use a mid-pipe that is compatible with the headers you select. Generally I think you want to get the headers and mid-pipe from the same company, to make sure they will fit together. You might be able to mix and match but I don't know how you would make sure that they fit correctly, other than to buy them and see.
Also be aware of emissions inspection requirements before making any changes to the exhaust, I don't know what the rules are in Toronto.

Love my Roush AB, but have been told that they rasp pretty badly if you do other exhaust mods. Have not heard them other than with my setup. Mine is stock on a 2014, but added the Boss Quad exhaust with the QTP electric cutouts. Plenty loud and sounds awesome to me. Have not had any rasp issues. They do settle down to a lower volume when cruising so you can still have a conversation. As the dealer I purchased the car from said, "It really rattles the windows in the show room."
Good luck
