Idk, a friend with a Vortech'ed 04 GT has had his rebuilt under warranty 3 times. He has about 20k miles on it.

Look at Five Oh Brian's numbers.

Nah. Centri is great. Especially for drags. Less low end for easier launch, higher top end where it counts. Wish I had that type of torque curve sometimes. I'm 550+ from 2500-6500. Launching is tire frying. Just from experience, I've seen Vortech blowers last a very long time compared to procharger. Same can be said with whipple to KB.

Yeah, he wasn't running one at all. I know I could go real cheap and get a Paxton/Vortech kit for under 4k from Brenspeed if I went that route.

Probably pullied though. Just a guess. There's and efficiency curve with those that you have to get right also.

Well if money was no object then it would be KB all the way. They are the best of the best.

I could always go with a non intercooler Vortech kit and then air to air cool it later.

3.73's?

Was that Tremec the same ratios as 05-10?

Yep. Just depends on power numbers you are after. Paxton novi makes serious power with low boost numbers. It's all scfm like I said. Kit says 9 psi but thats not the number that counts. I could get more power with less boost pressure with a bigger blower and be safer on the motor.

It's actually just a basic H.O. air to water kit, it keeps blowing oil seals. This last time it was pushing so much oil went it failed that the CAC hoses slid off the pipes.

Well being non force fed right now and then going to a lower 7-8 psi kit would be a huge jump. Then a few years down the road go back to 3.73's and bumping up to 9-10psi would be another nice jump in power.

Brian has a thread here where his needed to be rebuilt once. Seems like it was a bearing.

Always buy bigger and tune the blower down with a larger pulley. That way you have it when you're ready. I'm at 20 psi and don't like that. Wish I could spring for a 2.9 and drop psi to about 16.
