Mustang Museum Update

Wanted to give everyone an update on the Mustang Owners Museum. Of course weather has played a big role in getting things done. However, it looks like they should have the Museum open by the fall of this year. Here's a link if you're interested.

Yes sir. The grading is done, and they are (with all the rain) trying to get the foundation poured. They are going to open a temporary museum in a building next to the construction site the end of April.

Definitely worth a stop next year if we go to the Charlotte Auto Fair in April. Thanks for the update!

You're welcome David. The "Preview" Museum opens tomorrow. I'm not sure how many exhibits they have, but I'll check it out next week and report back.

Wanted33, yes report back on the status, I'm sure lots of folks are interested. I've been to the corvette museum and if its done in a similar fashion it should be outstanding. I hope they can get corporate funding to help with the cost.

Will do my friend. The Museum has had great success in obtaining funds. First they started with the Charter Membership program, and it went wild. I got in early, and my membership number is 614. When they ended the program they were over #9568 with each membership costing $100. They have been working on Cooperate sponsors, but I'm not sure where they are at with that. So far, so good though.

I live approx. 7 miles from the Museum, so it's easy to keep up with.

Update: I posted the wrong month ref. the opening of the temporary museum. It opens today. I'll try to stop by next week, and give you all a report.

Another Update: I stopped by the temporary museum the other day. They have several cars, info on the new museum, and a gift shop. Admission is free if anyone is in the area.
