Heard a rumor at AAI the other day about a possible Mustang Museum being built at AAI.

Did anybody else heard that rumor when they were at the Celebration?

It would be nice, although I doubt they would do like Chevy's Vette... Museum Delivery... Then again I bugged them enough with letters and phone calls about offering something like it just before cancelling my C6 order.

If I remember right, the general response was no, because it could get outta hand with the amount of requests -I got the feeling they've considered it in the past, but decided not to offer it.

There have been rumours about a Mustang Museum for many years, I believe there were plans at one point but got shelved.

It would be fitting for the Mustang to have one.

Agreed, the Mustang should have a museum. A few years ago, MCA had plans to build one, even had the building plans finalized and couldn't raise the money to build it so the whole thing was shelved.

Didn't hear that.

But what stinks though is they won't be able to have the Mach III concept of the Bullitt concept there. They were sold at the Ford Christies auction. I have noooo idea who bought the cars and where they are at now. I went to the pre-showing.

The Museum has been shelved because it cannot happen without a sizable donation from Ford, and Ford's financial situation doesn't currently allow for it.
