So I was reading an article about vehicles lasting 250k miles. All they had were toyota's, Honda, and few Chevy cars.
And I've always had good luck with just doing basic upkeep, and it will last.
Any long lasting original miles mustangs out there.
I know there's 65 mustangs out there, but these new generation mustangs, how long can they last?
So just curiosity.. If that person takes care of it, waxes, maintains it. How long can they last. Is it a car that can keep going. I'm not doubting, just curious

 

I know there's at least one guy on this forum with an early s197 with 200k. When I sold my '06 GT, it had 92k on it with no issues whatsoever. All I did was routine maintenance, oil change/oil filter changes, coolant flush, tune-up, fuel filter changes and fuel system cleaner, and cleaned the air filter on the CAI. All regular maintenance. These are some pretty solid cars.

 

I will be furious if I don't get at least 200k out of the car. I managed to get 225k out of an 85 Camaro, and those things were known to be unreliable junk.

In fact, out of the last 3 cars that I've owned and did not end up totaled in a wreck (None my fault BTW) all 3 of them exceeded 250k miles when I sold them, still running. The car I traded in for my Mustang had 283k miles on it and a fresh inspection sticker.
