More from Mecum last night
Thanx guys! Here's the GSX, but if I remember correctly it's not a real one. I remember seeing one sell that was a clone, & the area where it was sitting was for Sold cars. I love those old GM's from the late 60's & early 70's. A buddy of mine growing up had a beautiful 70 442.
I go to this every year because it's like the "who's who" of car shows! I'd always read about the 1970 LS6 SS454 Chevelle, but had never seen one in person. Last year at Mecum there were EIGHT being auctioned.

My dream car in the "Conceivably Attainable" category is this 1970 Mach. I'll never be able to afford $60-80k for a big block, but $30-35k might be doable in a couple of years after my '09 is paid off. This '70 would be perfect. 351 Cleveland 4V, 4 spd. Has fold down rear seat & front disc brakes. Only other thing I'd want on one is the shaker hood, but I could live without that. I'd want a Marti report to make sure the car is right. Wasn't much interest on this one; bidding on it only got to $25k. It'd look great sitting next to my black 09! (3rd pic)
