I had an 04 with a Steeda Stainless Steel Cat Back exhuast that sounded great. They provide you with a lifetime warranty and at the time it did not void my vehicle warranty. I just searched it out on Steeda.com and here is the link..

Product
040-13868 - Steeda Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust - GT - 99-04

This exhaust really does make a difference. Let me know what you think!

On my old 02 GT I had 40 series Flowmasters with stock mid pipes n cats out to 4" tips. It sounded ok but the drone was unbearable at times.

Any help for an owner of a V6 to make it just a little louder so I can leave it on and come back and get in and not try to start it because it is sooo darn quiet

Kaitlyn,

Can I recommend the Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust Systems - 85-04 from Steeda. We value the fact that not everyone can own a GT or V8 model Mustang. Steeda has invested a lot of time and money engineering products for V6 mustangs. I have provided a link for you to check out the Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust.

This will definately allow you to know if the car is started while running idle!
