Looking at a 2012 5.0 and trading in my 09 gt

Long story short, 5.0 has 30k. My 2009 has 23k. 12 has clean car fax and the 09 has a bad car fax. I have a joint setup on the 09 because I was trying to help someone build their credit. I have been approved for the 12 alone but upside down. Would you take the deal. The 5.0 has a minor bumper scratch and they want 500 down

How far upside down? What are you paying for the '12? You lack details to make a decision like that.

Am I reading this right? 21k plus the 6 ( that's nine upside down lol) so total 30k for a 2012 GT?

9000 upside down. Heck no! Sell the car you have privately, save money, then go from there.

Or look at a v6. The 12 GT sounds pricey.

Yes guys 30k for a 12 gt. Unfortunately I got a weird situation, and the co signer is a gf and things aren't where they need to be. It's a mess.

I would just pay off the $9K upside down and play with a newer 5.0 at a later time. Don't get yourself so deep in credit.

Haha yeah it's bad. Thing is I don't need a co signer. Credit is great and I pay my stuff. Had her on to help her establish credit. It's just gotten crazy

Not sure just how "crazy" it can get with this really. If you want the gf off the car note, apply for a refinance on the 09 and just bite the bullet and pay it off. In today's world, I cosign for no one......to easy to get screwed.

Oh hell no, don't go upside down on any car. And like Pete said, get her off your note as fast as your little feet will carry you to the bank. I don't care how good a woman is, if she ain't the Wifey she's just got to be on her own.

She should be on her own when it comes to bank accounts wife or not. More than half marriages fail. When they do you will wish she didn't have access to your money.

Don't know about where you are but In FL it makes a difference if the title says You AND Her or You OR Her. If it reads AND you cannot do anything with it without her. If it reads OR you are free to sell, refinance, or whatever.

I'd say step one... get it in your name... give yourself some freedom there.
