Why is the CDC light bar so much more expensive than the Scott Drake light bar? As far as I can tell they look about the same and the Scott Drake even comes with the top up switch which you have to buy extra with the CDC one.

 

I have the CDC and it came with the light disable switch. Right now you can get it for $355 shipped at CJ Ponyparts.

I obviously have no comparison data to the Stack version, but no complaints about the fitment and quality of the CDC. IMO, these bars should have came on our cars as it really completes the look when the top is down... which for me, is most of the time the car is driven

 

I agree. And yeah I saw the sell and how they're almost a hundred off. I was going to buy the Scott drake for $30 cheaper, but it seems like everyone has CDC stuff. How was your install?

 

Took maybe 2 hours as you are basically removing the rear side/top panels, drilling a couple holes and routing the wiring into the trunk. Pretty simple.

 

I also wanted to eventually add the windscreen and going with the CDC bar ensured it would match up.

Anything I ever got with Scott Drakes name on it was crap. Spend the extra coin and get a quality part.
