Kids hand gestures

I've had kids give me what I thought was a waving gesture when I drive my car. I wave back and they looked really angry. I'm sitting at a stop sign and this kid in the car next to me keeps doing the gesture. I kept waving and he kept nodding no. Then I revved the engine and he went nuts and started clapping. He was probably 5. Is this a universal rev your engine sign? Have I been robbing these kids of the beauty if a v8?

I wrote this thread hoping that someone else didn't know this. I'll feel less stupid that way.

How are you Richard! I don't know about gesture, but there was this one kid following my car to the Starbucks Drive-through on his scoot-skate? (skateboard with handle) thingy.

I looked at the rear view mirror and there he was. Felt strange, and it was not safe so I got out of the car and told him to move out of the way. But he couldn't stop staring at my car kept mumbling "Mustang..." I was scared lol

I haven't the foggiest of this gesture Rich, but I will keep an eye out just in case it has migrated to the US. I do like some of the looks kids give these cars. We passed several this morning, and the young girl (14-15) started pointing a telling her friends to look. They all stopped , and watched as we drove by. It's quite interesting that this cars draws as much attention as my C6 does.

I hind sight, it looks like they are mimicking a foot tapping an accelerator but using their hand as the foot. A buddy told me it's every common and I'm an idiot.

Naw, as I get older I find I can't get with the program as quick as I used too.
