Never going to say the V8 does not have great sound. However I had my 06 sounding good. I do like the sound of my new V6 so again happy with my choice. I have a idea lets all meet here in 2016 and all of you V8 guys can give me some extra $$$$$ so I can slide into a 2016 GT to make you all happy..

 

I dont get the hate on the prius. It's not meant to go faster or be louder than your mustang. Why the need to run it off the road like ********? I think it's some inferiority complex. You dont buy a prius to beat the competition. You buy it because it makes sense and is practical.

Same thing with mustang owners looking down upon smart cars or anything else that's slow and quiet.

So please direct all hate on ricers or v6 mustangs that are trying to be something that they are not. hehe

 

Beacause most Prius drivers are hypocritical...

 

My mom bought a bright red Prius last year. This, coming from a lady's who's first car was a 64 1/2 mustang. Shes owned firebirds, trans ams and mini vans while raising me.

Anyway, gas is four bucks a gallon here. She's averaging 50 plus miles with Eco boost electric. The last time I rode with her, another Prius driver thumbed up on the road. The car is complemented on a daily basis by passerbys.

Some of the Prius models are roughly as much as a GT. I was surprised in many ways. All the Prius drivers I have met are professionals, academia, engineers, MDs. My mom is a retired RN for the Army and my dad is retired RN/Major for the Air Force. They get in that little car, crank the Beatles, and cruise! They love that car.

And in 6 years or so they will have to pay over $6,000 to replace the batteries that caused more pollution to make and where are the used batteries going. We are not ready as the technology is not ready. its like the volt commercials. " I have not put gas in my car for a week", Yeah but the load on the electric company is greater, and most electric plants burn coal to generate electric. So where is the non-pollution?

 

I am aware of this. However, I don't think she will really care in six years considering she has a brain tumor.

Anyway, I just love watching her get in that car and smile. It's makes her smile for once. D@mn she loves that little car!

yes, The world has a lot of problems that are resting on my generations shoulders. I cut her slack on this one though

 

I still like that little car though.

 

So in the long it all evens out? Everybody should drive V8 coupes then. That makes sense.

the prius is a very stupid car.. I work with over a dozen bio med tech engineers daily and none of them drive a prius. The prius is worse for the planet then hummers, mustangs and so on. They are slow and most people I have seen drive them suck at driving.


If you buy a sports car get the sports car not the daily driver version and "play" hot rod. If you want a nice looking daily driver get the sixxer.. Trust me..

Many of my students are recently interested in mustangs and now follow these forums. That being said, they are a very diverse group of adults. I would think that you want to send a message that mustang owners are of a higher caliber of enthusiasts.
