I would say close to 3000-3500 bucks, my dad's 350Z top came flying open on the highway doing about 65 a few months back. Took it to dealer, thank god it was still under warranty, $5400 bucks for a new top

A convertible top is no inexpensive piece. Expect to spend $4,000 at a minimum I would guess. This may be a great time to contact Kevin.

If what you have to do is replace fabric part of the top itself you may get away with for considerably less, the entire frame and top will cost you a pretty penny. Either way its not pocket change.

50resto.com have the tops, glass and pads for the 99-04 for $369.99, not too bad considering, but be prepared to pay dealer prices for it though, I doubt the aftermarkets will be making them yet.

You should be able to get that shoe polish out anyway. Better still, why not just black out the rest of the roof?
