and those Honda's ain't close to stock

I disagree the 454 SS chevy truck only has 225 hp from factory and a stock foxbody 302 has the same and we kno what would happen if they raced. Not sayin all the time but most the time displacement means nothing a stock 4.6 will beat a stock 5.0 unless of course we are talkin about the new 5.0 lol. Hell my focus will beat a chevy 305 v8 all day long. (cubic inch means nothing!!!).
Still wrong.. the only reason the 454ss is slow is the restrictive heads, and the super mild cam. If it had decent breathing heads and a decent cam a 5.0 has no chance. You put the same technology in a 5.0 engine and a 7.0 engine the 7.0 will dust the 5.0 everytime. Never said cubic inches mean everything but they do mean something.
Well yea if you build any motor is gonna be quick lol I'm just sayin have you raced a 305 HO ? But anyways I kno a newer 4.6 will beat a 5.0. Heck there's new v6 that would beat my 5.0 I'm just being honest.
The original post he was referring to both cars being stock not which is capable of puttin down more power just comparing stock displacement. But yea it can mean alot with the right set up I just can't stand people assuming no matter what cubic inch determines the power lol

No really, get an OBD1 tester. I have a 95 that shifts, abnormally, to say the least. The 4R70Ws are electronically controlled. When those electronics start to go bad, they don't shift well, they may be your problem and its not a big fix.
Transmision shop or where? About how much does that cost?
Ricardo, I'm going to chime in again... You car is an OBD1 system like stated above.. It's an EEClV system... Any reputable automotive shop should be able to assist you in just a scan of the codes...Even maybe slide in the bay of a techninian and ask if he will just pull codes for you for a quick 20$
it's a five minute deal... I've done it for guys before. I'm sure there's others like me! The OBD1 is a very Generic Diagnostic system... The codes will be generic, though it will atleast give you a direction... Good Luck

I couldn't help myself with reading the " cubic inches mean nothing" statement.
Ok so think of it this way... Horsepower is just a byproduct of how much fuel/oxygen you can efficiently combust in a cylinder..The larger volume you have to do so the more potential for power you have. The heads, cam, intake etc.. are all just variables... You change one of them and you change the dynamics of the engine itself and it's output of hp... There is a reason That Racing Classes have a maximum CID...the reason you have 800hp cup cars is they are running 9000+ RPM... If they were allowed to stroke these engines to say 427cid... That same power could be created at 7000~7500rpm...So yes CID does mean something! HaHa...

Lol again originally it was brought up that the 5.0 should be more power than 4.6 I kno if you build big engines there gonna crank out alot of power I was referring to stock engines with different size displacement. I can already tell I stepped on some people's toes with that topic lol.
