C'mon. Now don't bash me for being overly sensitive either. I just find it interesting that you make the assumption it's some kind of male ego thing. Now, you wanna talk cars?
Apparently no one else felt "trolled" over my question. I said no offense intended....and I don't quilt, so feel free to post a similar question on a quilting forum if you like. It's all good!

I think it was pretty clearly in jest. If you notice her posting style in other areas of TMS, there's a lot of ing going on lol. Come on, she's the new girl on a Mustang site - would you expect anything less? She's gotta and a little or all the will come out and chase her away.

Funny on the other Mustang forums I used to be on, I always had a mod list signature for my old V6. Now that I have a car and mod list worthy of sharing, I just don't feel like putting the effort in, and now I just comment thread by thread with the mods I've done or plan that are relevant to that thread...

That and I'm a badass and like to **** off people who find it funny or weird. Or both.
The first part is pretty right on. Though with the app you can't see signatures, so I don't even remember what mine looks like.

Thats why ^

A lot of times I look at a person's sig to see what they have done to their car, especially if they are talking about their 1/4 mile times.

Mine is pretty funny because its so sparse, I had to put the tint and shifter bushing in there too

Okay, now you're just being reactionary. I guess I'll have to explian... You seem to have misinterpreted the tone of my original post to this thread. I even went to great lengths with each co-point to explain that I was trying to keep it light in order to illustrate how your original question/thread topic could be interpreted. You basically suggested that men seemed to be using their signature mod list as an extension of their ego and/or masculinity thus inferring as a female, that this seems rudimentary and childish. Kind of like your post that I have quoted above.

I have to deal with this type of human analysis as a professional (I'm a college professor) so I was trying to avoid going into too much detail on this forum. I apologize if you took my posts to be insulting. Have a blessed day.

Your apology is accepted, and I apologize if I offended you. In fact, I think I pre-apologized in the original post, just in case someone might misinterpret the joking (albeit sexist) manner it was posted.

Since you entered the realm of human analysis, though: I will say, it seems a bit passive-aggressive of you to say you are going to keep things light-hearted and in the next breath, accuse me of being a troll, or bordering on a troll. I poked fun, and probably in a very sexist manner....not that a woman would EVER understand what sexism is. Sorry if my sexist and sarcastic humor offended you. Even the Harley guys don't get THAT offended, lol. Please do ignore my posts in the future, if you find them problematic to your sensibilities. And yes, that was sarcasm :-)

I'm good with it, really. It was more generally an observation that I didn't find this to be common at all on other male dominated forums that I have been on. Sorry to have thrown the sexist humor on top of it! And certainly, no one is expected to *not* post their mod lists if they so choose.

I appreciate everyone's explanations, and humorous replies in return!

That is quite the impressive list, to be sure. At some point, would you ever part with your car, given everything you've put into/on it?

Sparse is good, at least for the wallet. So, do tell, since I have no clue what a shifter bushing even does? I get the tint. I have tinted windows. Guess I could add that to my list of 1 item, lol.

"we're" ??? lol. I'm still waiting on your check to arrive!

I'm pretty excited though, late next week, my sample of custom graphics should arrive. I seriously hope I like it, otherwise it will be back to the drawing board. Drawing board meaning - new wheels!

I'm trying to avoid different wheels, because my husband just LOVES the wheels on this car....I kinda like them, but that's all. So, I went graphics shopping to see if I could find something that would work with the current wheels, plus all the black on the car (glass roof), without the graphics being just black, lol.

Well you and I both know your post wasn't an apology (none needed by the way) just as we both know my last response wasn't an apology either. You may have also misunderstood my "troll" reference as it wasn't an adjective for you but rather for the thread in general. A "troll" thread is typically created to evoke emotional responses from the forum participants vs factual responses. If you had simply asked why some members put their mod list in their signature and never identified yourself as a woman and didn't position it as a male pattern, it would not have been a troll thread. Once you added the "sexist" element to it, as you referred to above, it went beyond simply seeking factual responses. That's why I referred to is as a borderline troll thread.

No real harm here but let's not pretend you didn't suspect there might be a defensive response to it even if you did write "no offense". Here in the South we say: "bless your heart" before we throw out a barrage of passive aggressive suggestion. All of that being said, please understand that I was never miffed, upset, offended, or angry over this thread. I was simply calling it out for what it was.

No harm, no foul, and I appreciate the reply. If you were never miffed, upset, offended, or angry, and you said originally that you assumed it was in jest - why even bother with your original post back to me accusing this thread of being a troll thread? I'm just shaking my head a bit at your motivation, just as much as you are about mine! Oh yeah....something about Mars and Venus. I keep forgetting that.

I will probably never sell it. It will probably stay in the family. I will also NEVER put that much money in a car again! I did have some help with some of the mods because I represent Vortech at cars shows.
