General Mustang questions

I would rather ask Mustang experts than google these questions as I get contradictory information about them, is the 1960s Mustang straight 6 pretty fast? Are the 5th generation ( 2005-2014)Mustangs retro or designed to look like their 60s 70s counterparts? the 2010 body style looks similar to the 70 Fastback to me. I'm still learning Mustangs after converting from a Challenger and Camaro SS guy for the past 9 years with my first GT

One more

Why do the tail lights and front parking lights light up when I use the wireless transmitter remote to unlock/lock the car, it's cute but is there a purpose for Ford to do that? (Car in question is a 2010 Mustang GT 4.6 Litre V8)

I would;t call the old straight six Mustangs fast. Yes, the 2005-14 Mustangs were designed to look "retro". I think the lights light up with the wireless transmitter just to confirm the car received your request. Also, in a parking lot, especially at night, the lights can help you find your car.

^^ I agree. Can't consider them fast at all. The modern 6 cylinder engines however are a different story.
You are right about the 2005+ cars being 'retro'. They sure were HOT when they arrived at dealer showrooms.
