The only misinformation I see on the C&D article is the IRS being introduced in 2003. Other than that it is pretty accurate.

Well it may be pretty accurate, but the connotation is there. It's like trying to build your Mustang with a saleman at an F-150 dealer. He just doesn't get it. Now add SVT to all of them also. Then, where will they be serviced. Tech's are NOT trained on SVT vehicles. And hmmm, 4000 dealers, only 7000 GT500's allocated for 07.

Yes SVT is alive. And I believe always will be for FORD. THis merger within with Ford Racing is an internal must for their performance divisions to remain. So they scale back from 5 models to 2, initially. That's okay. Did you really want a fourdoor svt truck (adrenalin) or a Focus 4 cyl. Wait. Let them get regrounded, then add there Lightning replacement, and add there Boss or Mach models later on. After all, there is time. Camaro and Challenger don't look like they'll be here till 09 anyway. Use these few years to hone the program and wet everyones lips with the Shelby GT500 as the ONLY real factory muscle car available. But to go thru regular dealers. That is a mistake!!
