The Fallacy of voided Warranty for Cat Back exhaust
The Fallacy of voided Warranty for Cat Back exhaust
So i here this all the time don'[t go Cat Back it will Void your warranty but it seems thats not only untrue but against the law!

A few on here have warned me that. In my posts/threads about exhaust. Some on here and other forums stated that anything more than an axel back would void the warranty so I posted this to avoid confusion
Yeah it doesn't void anything. Some dealerships are more stingy than others about doing warranty work, but you just have to stand your ground. There is no reasonable grounds for voiding a warranty in part or whole for a catback exhaust, as it doesn't effect anything else in a way that would void the warranty.

Did you buy an exhaust yet? you've been going at this and made so many threads about it it's ridiculous.

Ps for your information I have started one thread on this

I have always been told that it was from the Cats Forward that voided the Warranty on drive train, so as long as you are not putting high flow cats or an off road pipe on you are good to go.
My local dealer did charge me R&R on my Flowmaster set up on my F-150 when the rebuilt the rear end though, the left pipe was not the stock pipe and it was behind the pumpkin.
