Electrical? Gremlins? (2000 Mustang V6 5spd)

Ok 1 hour ago car started and ran fine, as usual. No issues! Got home & parked.
After a while tried to start (gauges resetting etc) only they pegged out & didn't return to zero, AND nada to starter. Not even a click!
Now there is nothing to cab, except for the strange ticking sound under the dash, prolly some stupid relay. *pulling hair out*
Battery checks out ok (remember it started an hour ago)
Alt (last checked when running 13.8)
No issues what so ever for years then POOF!
I'm thinking a ground, but WHERE? Fuse block/pwr distribution under hood?
Ugh :/
Guess a manual & line tracing are in my future, yippee!
Any help greatly appreciated

Check the battery connections. Look for grounds on the radiator support around the headlight area.

Yeah those are all good.
Starting to think a relay is sticking
I can start with no prob, shut off & try to start again, nada!
So I disconnect positive for just a second, and it will start again, but once turned off it won't restart.
Whatever it is, it's not letting pwr into cab
I'll keep looking
Thanx for reply
